Ruggero Alfredo Michahelles

Ruggero Alfredo Michahelles was born in Florence from a cosmopolitan family He spent his childhood and adolescence in the villa at Poggio Imperiale, former residence and studio of his great-grandfather, the sculptor neoclassical American Hiram Powers .
Since 1919 he collaborated with his brother Thayaht on the invention of jumpsuits, futuristic and egalitarian dresses , cut T-shaped, easy to manufacture and inexpensive clothes, in opposition to the bourgeois fashion of the time.
 Meanwhile, he took part in the artistic life of Florence, the organization of the Guild of Fine Arts and The Syndicate of Arts in Florence.
 In 1921 he won with his brother Thayaht, the national competition "National Award dell'Italica", for the new staging of 'Aida.  Meanwhile, it adheres to the "Gruppo Toscano Futurista" and all manifestations Futurist coining the name "RAM."
 From 1925 to 1931 he worked in various editorial publications, for which it develops covers and illustrations, including the magazine "Illustration Toscana
He died in 1976.
